Early this morning, Will and Kate hit the big red button to launch the ticker tape spectacle that traditionally kicks-off the Calgary Stampede Parade!
Young Harry had a one-word greeting for Will and Kate at Rotary Challenger Park, their last stop in Calgary before departing Canada.
Kate met, hugged and chatted with 6-year-old Diamond Marshall yesterday at the Calgary Airport. Diamond was diagnosed with abdominal cancer earlier this year and is now awaiting surgery. She wrote a letter to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada and asked if she could meet a real princess. It was truly heart warming to see her wish come true…
It’s not just the fans and Royal watchers who have to wait under the sun for extended periods of time… Media too!

Will and Kate pushed the big red button to kick off the 99th annual Calgary Stampede, then stayed for the parade amongst a sea of white cowboy hats!

It’s almost 6am on what is sure to be a day of high & lows as far as I’m concerned. On the one hand, the 99th annual Calgary Stampede kicks off this morning with the famed Calgary Stampede Parade. This is an event I’ve always wanted to experience, so my excitement level is very high! On the other hand, today also marks the final day of the Royal Tour of Canada, and even though it’s going to be another hectic day for those of us covering the events, I’m already missing life on the road with this particular circus just a little bit…
Just hours ago, Will and Kate enjoyed a preview of the action that will take place when the 99th annual Calgary Stampede kicks off tomorrow. This city is electric with excitement already!
