As with every other great Canadian city we’ve had the pleasure of visiting during this whirlwind Royal Tour, I wish I had more time to explore Yellowknife. In addition to its crisp air, friendly atmosphere and mind-bending extended daylight hours, its natural beauty is apparent in every direction. Several locals recommended that I return someday to catch the Aurora Borealis (aka Northern Lights.) I’ve already promised myself that I would.

Kate looked casual yet classy in her jeans and flats as she boarded a float plane destined for beautiful Blachford Lake in the Northwest Territories yesterday. That’s two days in a row we’ve gotten glimpses of the Duchess of Cambridge in more relaxed attire… Can Wrangler jeans and a cowboy hat be far behind at the Stampede in Calgary?

I still think this should have been Kate’s hat-du-jour for the shinny game in Yellowknife…
